Notwithstanding the unforgiving media & political climate; the 1811-Criminal Investigator position has never been more challenging. Special Agents are expected to be educated, tactically proficient, experienced, flawless in character, physically fit, emotionally intelligent, brave and technologically savvy; all in exchange for a govt. salary & pension. This ideal standard is rarely possible with the minimum resources provided by the "G." Consequently, 1811's should constantly seek updated information about case law, policy & general trends in the profession. Additionally, I am committed to helping my fellow 1811s find the best gear uniquely suited for criminal investigators and help everyone maintain their tactical edge over criminals. As an 1811, I got tired of always trying to ask around about the approved vendors and/or various businesses that could make great gifts (i.e. awards, retirements, Christmas, etc.).
